The Knights of Columbus of the South Bend area will host their annual “Walk the Talk for Life” event on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, from 2 pm to 4 pm, featuring prayer, an important speaker, and a show of support for pro-life values. This free event begins at the K of C Council 553 hall located at 553 E. Washington St. in South Bend (the corner of Hill and Washington Streets.). Participants should gather at the hall at 2:00 p.m. for the walk to the nearby St. Joseph Catholic Church for a prayer service. Following the service, we will return to the Council to hear a valuable update on pro-life legal and bioethical issues. The speaker will be Notre Dame Law School Professor Carter Snead, the incoming director of the Center for Ethics and Culture. There will be time for questions and networking/conversation, with light food and beverages served. For more information, call Bill Schmitt at 574-232-6777.
