The Council Hall
Located at the corner of Hill and Washington Streets in South Bend, our Council Hall serves as a focal point for council activities. Our location is just east of downtown and one block East of the St. Joseph River. Hill Street is the North South Street and is 2 blocks East of the river. Access is an easy drive across the river from downtown on any of three South Bend streets—Jefferson, Colfax and LaSalle. The hall is near South Bend landmarks such as the Century Center, Marriott Hotel, Studebaker National Museum and the College Football Hall of Fame (no, it hasn’t moved yet).
Conveniently located just 2 blocks from the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the hall is within walking distance for those wishing to attend mass before attending an event at the hall.
Our hall serves as a meeting facility for business meetings of the Council, the 4th Degree, the Ladies Auxiliary, and the area KofC Chapter. In addition, we hold fish frys during lent, and spaghetti diners throughout the year as fund raisers. In March, the Ladies hold a very popular soup and salad lunch at our facility. Beginning in July 2009, we began holding parties in the parking lot. In 2010, we will be holding parties in the parking lot in June, July. In addition, beginning in August our annual corn roast will be in the parking lot with a live band.
Throughout the year our hall is available to the public for parties, receptions, dinners, and luncheons. The hall features a full bar. For further information regarding hall rental, please contact the Hall Manager at (574) 234-9800 or the webmaster. (The webmaster will forward your request to the Hall Manager.) Don’t forget to check out the Yearly Calendar for open dates at the hall.
